Right now I am. In the Dubai Airport. This is massive, I mean really massive. I have a ten hour halt between two flights, and I'm apprehensive about falling asleep alone with two hand luggages. Not to mention I'm freezing coz I left my coat at the checkin Babbage.

On the other hand, the lady at the bookstore mentioned that I can get a free meal, if my halt between the two flights is more than four hours. That's why I love travelling with Emirates :) But my head is spinning, I'm dying for a quick nap.

Right, time to get up and walk towards a double expresso somewhere.

Had an awesome two weeks of family time....

Having a lot of fun watching Jdrama Hanzawa Naoki. It is a story based in the banking world. Sakato Masai is fantastic in the role of Naoki Hanzawa, a banker who was made scapegoat by his superiors when a company who owned them five hundred million yen goes bankrupt. The pacing of the story is amazing, I'm on episode 3 at the moment but is soon turning to be one of my favorite series.

Every time I visit LJ, I feel like I'm meeting an old friend. On reading a few posts back, I realise the difference between the person I was then, and the person I am now.

For starters, I got older :) yep, I'm 26, soon to be 27. Still in the same job I was two years back, with a raise though. I fondly remember it was a friend from LiveJournal whom I barely had known, had given me directions. Also I am engaged to my boyfriend (also of two years). Hadn't planned on either of those 'then'. I've stopped reading books, the last book I bought 'the cukoo calling' still lies unopened in the white Waterstones bag.

I've stopped watching anime or reading/buying mangas online, but I still look over some live actions or listen to some OSTs reminiscing of the good ol' days, the latest being XxxHolic alive Action. Guess I've grown up, lol :)

I see that my first AMV has over 100,000 views now. Very surprised, as now I think I could have edited this so much better.

I wonder how many people have removed me, owing to my almost nonexistent response here. I will try to be more regular here, feels like I cosy home I keep wanting to return to. Would be glad is some of you who remembers me, drop in to say 'hi'.

Well, I moved out. Finally.

And the new flat is crappier. For starters, the boiler doesn't work at all. We tried pusihing that button to get the pilot fire on, but it just didn't work . The tumble dryer doesn't work, and the place didn't give any crockery. Last night, out Letting Agency send a guy at 1am in the morning to fix the exhaust fan in the bathroom. The day didn't get any better.

Also, at 11-35pm, my flatmate/tenant of my old flat called. Now, here's how things stand. I'm supposed to give her a notice period of one month before shifting out, thats on 10th of Aug. I moved out on 15th of Aug, coz that's when I had to move in to the new flat. In a way, I lost out around £1600 pounds in three days. (£410 for old flat, rest deposit for my new flat plus one month rent in advance). So last night, my flatmate calls and says she has a viewing in line and my room wasn't clean. She asks me to do it then or in the next day morning. Mind you I leave for work at 7am.

I stomped over there. This is what she says, "Please heat two buckets of hot water, pour etc etc etc". Dear all mighty... I was so tired. She made me clean up the place, else she said she would take money off deposit. Later, she didn't like how I cleaned, got to my ass and asked me to clean again.

We had a huge uproar after that. I left around 2am, when my boyfriend  called saying if I didn't get back, he would call the cops. I went back after that, but couldn't sleep the whole night. The arguements came churning again and again in my head. I feel sick.

I will go to the old flat and get the few bits and pieces that I had left there. I'm still fuming.

My boyfriend got rejected from the Company I worked in. It wasn't a permanent job, and his interviewer thought he was overqualfied for it. In these days where there are no jobs, could overqualification even be a reason?

Buggers.

Saw the Finale of Harry Potter last night, it was EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also completes two animes, House of Five Leaves and Mushishi. Both had a similar relaxing nature to it, and were episodic.

In House of Five Leaves, Akitsu Masanosuke is a timid ronin on his way to Edo from the countryside when he accidentally encounters a playboy named Yaichi, who asks him to be his bodyguard. But it turns out that Yaichi is actually the leader of a group of bandits called the "Five Leaves," and he's hoping that Masanosuke will join them. Masanosuke is reluctant to help them, but as he grows closer to his eccentric new companions, he learns to relate to them and grow as a person in the process[ANN].

It had a nice relaxing nature, and captured the feel of the Edo period in Japan beutifully. The animation might not appeal to all though, and the series got pretty slow towards the middle of the series. Masa's laid-back and slow nature often made me feel frustrated. But the anime picked up towards the last few episodes, also each of their characters had their own story-lines to share.

I am a huge fan of Samurai Champloo now. The animation, time-period of the anime, partly rap music style, and the bawdy jokes... fantastic. A modern hip hop tale to the medival samurai era.  Nothing could be better :) Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] crsg 's recommendation for it.

Saw Kung Fu Panda 2. After so many years, I still loved Po!! That panda is fraking adorable :) And the furious five. I wish those guys had more lines though. I wish the Crane and Mantis spoke up more though. But the visulas were fantastic. Glad to have seen the movie in 3-D. I also saw X-Men2 First Class. This was actually my first X-Men live action movie (I had seen the animations only); and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Hangover 2 had some funny moments, but for most part, I felt; an hour and half of my life were never coming back :( The only new movie I'm waiting this season is Harry Potter. Stake Land feels like another 'Return of the Dead' sequel. Mother's Day might be fun, but no special effects other than just being an utter psychotic film. Might go for Honey 2 though.

Tomorrow I am going back to work. I had a leave of two dayscoz of my cold. Tomorrow Im glad my managers not ghoing to be there. It would mean probably some free time for me.

I watched  the Japanese movie 'Confessions'. Man, it was one of the most amazing psychological thrillers I have ever come across. Cute Nisshi Yukito from Kuroshitsuji musical, plays a sadistic disturbed murderer. The movie airs in GFT on 18th Feb, probably I can convince Sundy to join me.

I decided not to go around University Clubs anymore. Granted most of my friends are still pursuing their studies, and I've graduated, I feel terribly left out. I am beginning to feel older amongst them. Enough of the madness, time to move on.

Which reminds me, what do you guys think, will be good Valentine presents for guys?ther

This week I saw a lot of movies. Narnia, Gullivers Travels, Love and Other Drugs, The Kings Speech, The Black Swan... Out of all of them, I disliked Gullivers Travels. I found it too cheesy, and maybe because I knew the plot from their over excessive promos and 'Orange phone' ads, I was completely bored.

Love and other Drugs was sweet, it started off as a completely different note and ended as something totally different. After a long while, Im seeing a Jake Gyllenhall movie. Narnia was fun as expected. But the Black Swan and Kings Speech.. marvellous.. Both the movies blew me away. I can easily see them being strong contender for this years Oscars. The movie I really want to see is Yogi Bear and Tangled. :)

Today is my company's Christmas Night out, I'm pretty excited about this. Its my first night out with my new colleagues. But its funny how the same office, is divided into two halves and we have two separate night outs. Our manager goes in on both of them.

Many many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] browneyedmami , [livejournal.com profile] nasty_show and [livejournal.com profile] behindgrey_eyes  for their lovely cards. I recieved them yesterday.

This New Year will be different for me. For starters, I am moving out. I realized working to a place which is 45 min away is not exactly feasable, I am constrained by my lack of transportation. I live ten minutes away from the Central Railway Station, which is a good thing but snow in Scotland is hell. Half the time the trains get cancelled and the road gets blocked.

I need a place near to where my colleagues stay so that I can carpool with them. I have started taking driving lessons, but its going to take a long time before I actually get my car. Plus, I am not financially very well off to get my own flat, I need to go for a roomshare or a flat with a HMO lisence.

I spoke to my boss regarding relocating to where my office is in Greenock, but he was slightly apprehensive about it. I couldn't agree more. This is a place for families, and wives and kids, I will miss the hustle of Glasgow city. Also, I would be terribly unhappy and lonely without certain people and my University who have been my family for the past one year. One of my colleagues offered me a room at  his flat, who he was planning to rent it out. Its an amazing flat, and the room has large windows which directly opens to the sea. So beautiful, and yet so lonely.
