This weekend I stayed at home. I had a 'Kuroshitsuji' weekend, so basically I saw the first two seasons, the OVAs, and the latest 'Book of Murder'.

After which I progressed to the movie. Having not seen before and knowing the basic premise, I wasn't too keen on it. But I was pleasantly surprised. Leaving aside the flimsy plot and the half hearted acting for most of the part, this was a very STYLISH movie. I actually enjoyed the action, and Hiro Mizushima did a great job as Sebastian. Ayame Goriki wasn't too bad, though how can anyone in their right mind inagine her to be a boy? Meyrin was a surprise, she had some very well choreographed action scenes. I think the movie did try their best to combine East with the West, though fell short on numerous fronts.

Also, a special mention to the little fanservice towards the end..

I can understand why Toradora is called a 'complex' anime.. a plethora of feelings and emotions, such an amazing whirlpool.. or maybe its the fifteen year old inside of me. I love this series.

Im not much into romantic animes, or anything remotely close. But Im so glad I gave this a chance. Extremely likeable characters, layers of emotions, beautiful storyline with a good dose of comedy. Its a very warm, fuzzy and relaxing anime.

Would be glad for some similar recommendations!!!!

Monster...

I'm still not out of Monster daze..

Brilliant, simply brilliant. I asked someone on LJ to recommend me something similar to Death Note, I cnnot remember who but someone recommended my Monster. I'm glad I took it up, despite being a horrendous 74 episode long.

Too many characters, with one person linking all of them, the same person who was saved ten years ago by a certain surgeon. The surgeon later on repents the decision to save the boy's life, who later turns out to be Monster, a criminal mastermind and a brilliant schemer, who kills without emotions. We delve into the amazing Nazi-era German/Czech human experimentations, and it raises the question, who is the monster, its psycopath creators, or he himself?

The Monster with no name... Johann...
