Nightmares
Mar. 8th, 2009 09:33 amHas anyone had really unexplainable dreams at night? Of snakes, espescially? I have been dreaming about these creatures, since... I don't know... years maybe. Last night was the scariest, as the snake was not only black in colour, it was thicker than my wrist and had an 'U' at the top of his head(Cobra). I woke up sweating and panting at 4am in the morning, and was not able to go back into sleep since then.
I have been googling on this topic for around two hours, only to find I might have had an easier time had I dreamt of Harry Potter. HARRY POTTER : Harry Potter symbolises your deep fantasies and wishes right now. Cool! That reminds me of a time when I was young, and I dreamt of Captain Planet(Maybe that was the result of twelve back to back episodes I saw the day before). But what about snakes?
I dreamt of my hostel mess, in the dining hall, when this guy out of nowhere pulls something above me and drops the snake on my head. It was so scary, the moment I opened my eyes, I could see the thing on my pillow. During earlier times, there were thin black snakes crawling up a white satin bed. Sometimes, they are white and they keep following me. Snakes always turn up in the oddest places in my dreams, when I least expected it, but knew it that moment it wasn't the first time.
I realized something, neither of the time, I never once looked directly at their faces or eyes. Neither was I bit a single time.
Here's something I found SNAKES : Snakes tend to symbolise traps and problems of any kind . Traps? Problems? I'm on vacation right now. And hell, the other times I dreamt them I do not recall any traps or problems. KYAA!!!
"Recurring dreams indicate a fear or an unresolved issue. One way to deal with the recurring dream of the snakes is to try lucid dreaming. This is when you become conscious in your dream and are aware that you are dreaming. If you are able to do this, then ask the snakes what it is they want and why you keep dreaming about them? If the snakes are hostile and you are afraid in the dream then face the snakes and master the situation in some way. Seeing the dream through to the end is important in overcoming it." Whoever wrote this, no offence, but I think I'll be too busy running away.
I seriously need some sleep. Honestly, I feel so much better after typing this.
