Mock interview
Jun. 24th, 2010 01:57 pmToday I had a mock interview, conducted by the careers service in our university.
It was pretty fun, but I was very nervous, as it was a one-to-one interview but in front of the rest of the students. I was stammering like an idiot in the beginning, but later I got the hang of it when he asked me to take him step by step through my project. Afterwards, he gave us all a very nice feedback, regarding the areas we needed to improve and how to improve. Also, from an interviewer's point of view, what he expects us to say. He went through my CV, and we discussed the difference between a technical and a normal CV. Overall, I learnt a lot and I'm thankful that I had got a first hands-on experience of a UK interview.
A lot of companies came over, from all spheres. The most notable ones were Barclays stockbrokers, Morgan and Stanley, IBM, Selex Galileo(my interviewer), etc. After the interviews were finished, we went for a nice lunch cum networking session. I hope my Uni comes up with such events even more.
And I realized I looked good in a suit with a skirt rather than with pants ;)
My room mate is moving out. She got a nice room for 180 pounds. Its very close to the university,a nd practically next to the Subway station. I really wished I could move in with her, but my contract won't be over before September.
Now for the meme
Day 2 - Favorite anime you’ve watched so far
( Videos are here :) )
Call it self promotion, but I'm really happy that my Kuro amv (points to the vid under the cut) crossed 20,000 views XDDD It isn't that well made, since it was my earliest amv. Someday, I'll try to edit it and make it even better.
